Flash Player 9 got a bit of a boost yesterday as Facebookfor now?) made a change that required all Facebook applications to use Flash Player 9 as a minimum (see the notes at the bottom of the page). Its great to have the support from such a large site like Facebook, although they note that 90% of the users on the site already had it installed anyways.

Why is a boost?
Why can be considered this a boost for Flash Player? I mean many sites require to have flash installed and anyway most of the people have it installed anyway way before Facebook existed.
When the world's fastest
When the world's fastest growing social network requires the lastest version of a piece of software, its bound to give that software a boost. Maybe not in terms of downloads, but at least in terms of appearance - people are more confident using something if its in use by one of the web's top sites.

facebook, flash, HELP..........
I'll admit it, I'm a luddite, I just sent my computer in for some cleaning and some ram installation. They seriously screwed it up, but now it seems to be running again. But when I go into facebook, I can't post or download anything. My boyfriend told me to uninstall and then reinstall flash, did that, still doesn't work, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
vista
Anybody have an idea how to install flash when i have windows vista? Not so easy job.
Vista and Flash
Turn off the UAC in Vista (under Control Panel, User Account Controls, Disable).
This allowed me to install the Flash player 9
Then I could see flash but could not hear sound.
Then I had to play with a bunch of settings in IE Security, setting most actions to prompt.
Good luck.
