Last week Activa Live Chat, a Flex based application that allows website owners to chat in real time with visitors on the site, announced a bunch of new features and an SDK for RIA developers. The SDK is really cool - it allows RIA developers to integrate live chat into their RIA, customize the own chat windows, build custom automated chat invitations and more.

I haven't tested it out, but I'm convinced that adding in live chat to advertising landing pages can increase the number of people who take a specific action. I've integrated Activa Live Chat on a few sites that I've run, and the results have shown that (although they've been small sample sizes). Pricing for live chat is just $69 per seat - extremely inexpensive, and easy for someone to setup a small test to see if the solution will work (there's a 14 day trial as well).

Update: Virgin Mobile actually used the SDK to develop their Let's Have TXT site.
