Yesterday Adobe launched Adobe Media Player, an AIR application that aggregates rich media RSS feeds and plays them in a desktop application.

Adobe has agreements in place with a number of high profile content providers, including CBS, PBS, MTV and others.
Users can also manually add RSS feeds into the application if they know the URL of a video feed that they'd like played in Adobe Media Player.
For publishers, Adobe Media Player allows them to customize the UI of the application by providing a custom background image for their video channel, or an image at the top of the screen while their video is playing.
The application also includes the ability to display video in full screen, and supports HD video as well.
The major problem that I see with the program is that there's no way to transfer the videos that have been downloaded to Adobe Media Player onto other devices, such as an iPod, or Apple TV. You're "stuck" watching the videos on your computer.
