Best Twitter Client Running on AIR?

Send to friendPrinter-friendly version

Today I decided I better get into the Twitter scene, so I decided to find some AIR applications for it. To my surprise, I found 8 AIR applications for Twitter. Do you have recommendations on which one is the best?

I like TweetDeck:

I like TweetDeck: http://www.tweetdeck.com/

Twhirl and Tweetdeck are the

Twhirl and Tweetdeck are the two clear leaders IMO.

I've used Twhirl, never

I've used Twhirl, never tried another. Found it to be great. Only problem so far: whenever I open the app it gets old tweets and says they are new.

I installed the twitter facebook application inside facebook. When I tweet on twhirl, it updates my facebook status. Pretty sweet.

I think it depends on how

I think it depends on how you like to see your tweets, but I love twhirl. I vote for that.

They all have their ups and

They all have their ups and downs.. Each twitter client is different and is adjusted to specific twitter users and tasks..

I found Twhirl on Mac to be

I found Twhirl on Mac to be clumsy: it gives me constant beachballs for absolutely no reason at all, which, unfortunately, times out my other applications. Other AIR-based Twitter clients such as TweetDeck and Snitter do not do this, so the problem is in the Twhirl API, not AIR. Which is too bad, because I really like Twhirl on the PC side; it has al the features that I want.

Twhirl simply sucks on Mac, however...

Right now I find TweetDeck

Right now I find TweetDeck to be most interesting (maybe not best), has great potential, updates are regular, SEARCH columns are very useful, lot's of url shortening services...
