Mugsho is an interesting application - its like a social version of Photobooth on the Mac. The Flex based application allows you to put a widget on your blog, Facebook profile, MySpace page etc... that allows your visitors to take pictures of themselves - much like you can do with Photobooth, with the difference being that the photos are uploaded to a central server, and served as a slideshow on your site. Here's the widget for RIApedia:
Photos that are taken are sent to the administrator of the site, who needs to approve each photo before they get displayed on the site.
The application was developed by Neoia, a company in France that specializes in RIA development.
A while ago, Rich Tretola created a Flex application that mimics Apple's Photo Booth application, using the local webcam access with the FlashPlayer. With the release of Apollo, he's ported it to Apollo, that will work on your Windows or Mac desktop.

The application allows you to take photos of yourself, and saves the photos to your local machine, just like Photo Booth. There are 12 effects that are included in the application, including black and white, sepia, blur, glow and more.
Grab the AIR file here. Apollo runtime required to understand that AIR file.
