Too Funny - Microsoft RG, The Really Good Edition, and Paint

Two funny Microsoft parodies have come across my desk in the past 2 days, and I just had to share them. The first is Microsoft Windows RG - the Really Good edition.

The second is the following YouTube video about Paint. Watch and enjoy, and be thankful that you don't have to build RIAs using it.

Flex on YouTube: Meet YouTube Remixer

YouTube has launched an online editor built by Adobe: YouTube Remixer. The application, also known as Adobe Premiere Express, was written by Adobe using Flex, and is nearly identical to Photobucket's Remix tool. Adobe Premiere Express allows online video sites to embed an editor, built by Adobe, into their site so users can easily more complex videos, with transitions, music, photos and titles.

TechCrunch has some more details, along with a few interesting comments.

Build Your Own You Tube with Flex and PHP

O'Reilly is currently running an article on onlamp.com about how to create your own YouTube website using Adobe Flex and PHP. The article, written by Jack Harrington, is extremely detailed (4 pages in length) and goes through everything from building the Flex front end to using ffmpeg to convert the movies into Flash format. Its worth noting that there is a version of Flash Media Server that is available for free, which could have been used in the tutorial instead.
